🔊 Open Call

Join us and be a co-author of the Negotiated Intelligence exhibition website!
As an official Exhibition Pavilion in The Wrong Biennale 7th Edition,  Negotiated Intelligence is a virtual exbihition platform / website which explores the negotiation process between human artists and AI.  In this open call for submissions, we seek documentations about your human-AI co-creation process that illuminate the fluid interplay of human intentionality and AI's generative contributions. Through these documents, we intend to map out the power dynamics between AI and human artists, showing how artists leverage AI as both a tool and a collaborator.

Submission Guidelines:
You will be contributing to the Wrong Biennale’s offiicial pavilion, the Negotiated Intelligence exhibition, by submitting documentations about your human-AI co-creation process for any piece of creative work through the following required artifacts:

1.   A Human Creator Ledger:
  • Demonstrate your dominant creative ownership through pre-AI concept validity (e.g., dated sketches, writings, or prototypes).
  • Records of your deliberate artistic decisions overriding or refining AI outputs
  • Showcase post-AI transformative work (e.g., manual editing, recontextualization, or reinterpretation of AI outputs).

2.  Your AI Co-Creator's Profile:
  • Details about the AI models you selected.
  • Identify moments of "creative divergence" (unpredictable outputs that influenced your artistic trajectory).
  • Brief analysis of AI-generated elements and their significance in your final piece.

3. Your Synthesis Process:
  • Highlight moments where AI introduced unexpected or non-deterministic elements that enriched the creative process.
  • Reflections on constraints or limitations of the AI model that required human intervention.

The work selected in the Negotiated Intelligence Pavilion will need to demonstrate both human agency as the driving force and AI as a collaborative partner.
Please keep in mind that meaningful documentations of your creative process will be far more important than a polished final piece.

After the selection deadline of works, Negotiated Intelligence curators will create a dedicated website presenting a critical interface that engages website visitors with your submitted materials. The website will present a chronology with power analytics for your creative process, featuring 3 columns:
  • Human Intentions: Your pre-AI creative groundwork, original concepts, sketches, and mood boards.
  • Negotiation Arena: Your documentation of the iterative exchanges between the artist and AI.
  • Emergent Hybridity: Your final piece.

Please submit your work and any questions to the curator, Chun Wang, at chunwang.me@gmail.com
Submissions are accepted and announced on a rolling basis until August 30, 2025.

Happy Creating!
